He was predeceased by: his parents, Warren Rufus Nelson and Alise Rhame Nelson; and his siblings, Edward Warren Nelson and Mary Frances Nelson. He is survived by: his wife Harriet Godwin Nelson of Myrtle Beach; his daughters, Joyce (Tommy Jordan) of Myrtle Beach and Jayne (Steven Metz) of Carlisle, PA; his granddaughters, Sarah Jordan of Nashville, TN, Mary Alice Jordan of Myrtle Beach, Rachel Rodgers of Mechanicsburg, PA and Stephanie (Sairam Babu) of Queens, NY; his great grandchildren, Peyton, Lucas Rodgers, Micah and Noah Babu; and his brother Dr. William Nelson of Louisville, Kentucky.
