It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Walter J Marks of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, who passed away on July 15, 2025, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. As Walter departs from our midst, his spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Walter. Though Walter may no longer walk beside us, his legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Nathan H. Marks and June Shaw; his stepmother Ethel Hall Marks; and his brothers, Nathan Marks Jr. and David Marks.
He is survived by: his wife Catherine Griffin Marks (Kay); his son John Marks (Lisa); his grandchildren, Rebecca and Ryan Marks; and his sisters-in-law, Judy Marks and Barbara Marks. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
