He is survived by: his wife Mary of Murrells Inlet, SC; his children, Bill Payne, Jr. (Laurie) of Oak Ridge, NC and Paula Hooss (Richard) of Florence, SC; his grandchildren, Ryan Hooss (Molly) of Louisville, KY, Kyle Hooss (Melissa) of Franklinton, NC, Jared Payne (Hannah) of Wallburg, NC and Callie Payne of Saxapahaw, NC; and his great grandchildren, Sophia, Durham and Graham.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Coastal Life Community Church Building Fund.
