She was predeceased by: her husband Eldon M. "Cork" Berry; her son Michael Alexander Berry; her parents, James William Abernathy and Lorena Alexander Abernathy; her siblings, Dr. David Abernathy, Benjamin Abernathy and Laura Lowman; and her son-in-law James Sanford Kirkland.
She is survived by: her grandchildren, Day, Jim Abernathy, Beverly Masters and Rose Roberts; her children, Deborah Kirkland, Rebecca Kizer of Knoxville, TN and Bruce Berry (Kathy) of Evans, GA; her grandchildren, Hope Hastings (Cliff) of Knoxville, TN, Ryan Kizer (Stacie) of Louisville, KY, Emily Willing (Caleb) of Evans, GA, Scott Berry of Atlanta, GA and Ian Kizer (Caleh) of Los Alamos, NM; her great grandchildren, Cody and Kendall Hastings; and her grandchildren, Charlotte, Mollie, Noah, Samuel Willing, Everett, Lydia, Anderson Kizer and Jovie Kizer.
