He is survived by: his husband Dr. Kevin L. Dove of Greenwood's Lander University; his son James C. Sidden (Jennifer) of Rock Hill; his brothers, Randy F. Sidden of Yadkinville, N. C and C. Edward Sidden (Rebekah) of China Grove, N. C; his grandchildren, Aleeyah S. Stafford (Trinity) of Rock Hill, Jaxon G. of Rock Hill and Connor J. Sidden of Rock Hill; his great grandchild Lyanna J.; his grandson James A. Stafford; his nieces, R. Ashley Mullins (Gregory) of China Grove, K. Alana-Lee Sidden and Fallie E. Sidden of Yadkinville; his nephew D. Wyatt Roby of New York; and his pets, Petunia, Roscoe, Jolene, Glory, Suede, Frack, Wilma, Fred and Ethel.
A funeral service was held on Friday, October 30th 2026 at 4:00 PM at the O'Neal Street United Methodist Church (501 O'Neal St, Newberry, SC 29108). He delivered pet food to elderly people, pandemic heroes, GAAP, Senior Citizens of Newberry and served weekly as stock volunteer and monthly as intake coordinator at GAAP.
Memorials may be made by planting a tree or adopting a cat or dog.
