It is with sadness that the passing of Betty Harmon of Newberry, South Carolina is shared. Betty, born on December 8, 1933, passed away on September 24, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Luther Hamilton Folk and Mary Lominick Folk; her husbands, James Winston Hendrix, Sr. and Jimmy Lee Harmon; her grandson Christian Blake Hendrix; and her siblings, Peggy Boozer, Marion Kunkle, James and Tommy Folk.
She is survived by: her children, James Hendrix (Sheri), Vickie Ott and Wanda Ruff (Marty); her stepdaughters, Leigh Davenport (Alan) and Kathy Kunkle; and her sister Martha Dominick. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Sunday, September 27th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the McSwain-Evans Funeral Home Chapel (1724 Main St, Newberry, SC 29108). A funeral service was held on Sunday, September 27th 2026 at 4:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Sunday, September 27th 2026 at the Trinity United Methodist Church Cemetery.
