With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Betty Brown Singley (Newberry, South Carolina), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 18, 2025 at the age of 72. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Junius Brown and Lillie Mae Wilson Brown; her daughter Meredith Elizabeth Brown "Libby"; and her siblings, Delores Williams of Columbia, SC and Charles Brown of Newberry, SC..
She is survived by: her half-sisters, Mattie Brown, Hattie Gaines and Mary Louise Rice; her son Anthony J. Singley of Columbia, SC; her grandson Joshua Brown of Prosperity, SC; her siblings, Doris Suber-Haynes of Blythewood, SC, Ruby Lee Booker of Stone Mountain, GA, Carolyn Sims (Thornton), Sylvia Kay, Charlene Lane (Jackie) of Newberry, SC and Cecil Brown of Newberry, SC; and her friend Loraine Ingram.
A funeral service was held on Saturday, July 26th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Trinity Baptist Church (2521 Richland St, Columbia, SC 29204). A burial was held on Saturday, July 26th 2025 at the Werts Cemetery.
