Bobby Mayer Obituary
We are sad to announce that on July 21, 2025, at the age of 84, Bobby Mayer of Newberry, South Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the vast expanse of eternity, Bobby shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Bobby farewell, his loved ones carry with them the precious gift of his memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Bennie Mayer and Lillie Mae Caldwell Mayer. He is survived by: his sisters, Willie Mae M. Brown of Greenville, SC, Betty M. Corley of Norristown, PA, Jeanette Jackson of Sumter, SC and Lillie Tobe of Irmo, SC; and his sister-in-law Rose G. Mayer of Montclair, NJ. He is also survived by 140 nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, great- great nieces and great- great nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, July 26th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Wilson Funeral Home (64 Boundary St, Newberry, SC 29108). A graveside service was held on Sunday, July 27th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Newberry Memorial Gardens (15127 CR Koon Hwy, Newberry, SC 29108).
