It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Charlie Beaman Summer Jr. of Newberry, South Carolina, who passed away on September 16, 2025, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. As we bid Charlie farewell, let us not mourn the absence of his physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of his spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Charlie is not truly gone, but merely transformed, his energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Charlie Beaman Summer, Sr. and Mary Elise Fuller Summer. He is survived by: his sons, Charlie B. "Trey" Summer III (Lori Mills) of Newberry and Jamie Mack Summer of Newberry; his sister Dianne Bannister (Ronnie) of Newberry; his aunt Lavenia "Punk" Beck of Newberry; his granddaughter Emmie Elise Summer; and his sibling's children, Chris Brooks (Terri) and Jodie Sease (Benji).
Visitation was held on Saturday, September 20th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the McSwain-Evans Funeral Home (1724 Main St, Newberry, SC 29108). A burial was held on Monday, September 22nd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the St Philip's Lutheran Church (2461 St Philips Church Rd, Newberry, SC 29108).
