We are sad to announce that on April 7, 2024, at the age of 82, Joel Sherman of Newberry, South Carolina, born in Hereford, Texas passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Otto Emmett and Loesa Odella Flowers Sherman; and his brother Ronald Sherman. He is survived by : his wife Alice "Berta" Green Sherman; his children, Joel Randal Sherman (Liz) of Prosperity and Paige Sherman Cassidy of Mt. Sterling, KY; and his grandchildren, Steven Sherman, Darian Sherman, Delaina Sherman, Mary Comett and Sean Cassiday, Jr.. He is also survived by four great-grandchildren.

A memorial service was held on Saturday, April 13th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Evans Funeral Home (1724 Main St, Newberry, SC 29108).

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38101-9929.
