He was predeceased by: his parents, Leon Dupont Nichols, Sr. and Sarah Martin Nichols; and his sisters, Moriat Dominick and Sarah Ann Fisher. He is survived by: his children, Hilary Nichols, James Nichols and Talcott Nichols; his nieces, Jessica Hall and Caroline Hall Boleyn; and his nephew David Fisher. He is also survived by his family, students, friends.
