She is survived by: her children, Johnnie Moon (Connie Moon) of Columbia, SC, Norman Moon (Sharon Moon) of Little Mountain, SC, Eugene Moon of Little Mountain, SC and Karen Anita Moon of Little Mountain, SC.; her goddaughters, Dr. Tiffany Parks, MD (Eric Dupree) of Atlanta, Georgia, Dr Terri Parks, MD of Houston, Texas and Toni Parks of Atlanta, Georgia.; her grandchildren, Raven Wilson, Shakita Rhodes, Demarcus Moon (Mary), Anica Moon-Jackson (Omar), Phadrea Moon, Deana Wright, Devean Moon, Lillie Moon, Cori Tate (Miriam), Brittany Tate, Conner Moon (Serenity), Jakobie Greeley and Ave'Ella Gilmore; her great grandchildren, Michael Wilson, Mykah Wilson, Tristian Rhodes, Synia Jackson, Gary Brammer III, Nova Moon-Daveiga, Sahryah Samuels, Jamaurice Moon and Amaara Jackson; her siblings, Sylvesta Bowers (Nancy), Ollie Bowers (Sandra) of Little Mountain, Timothy Bowers (Melinda) of Decatur, AL and Rose Tobe; her aunt Betty Lee Mayers; and her close friend Charles Mayers. She is also survived by extended family members, friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 4th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Wilson Funeral Home (64 Boundary St, Newberry, SC 29108). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, September 5th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Lake Murray Presbyterian Church (2721 Dutch Fork Rd, Chapin, SC 29036). A burial was held on Saturday, September 5th 2026 at the Providence AME Church Cemetery (701 Meadowlark Rd, Little Mountain, SC 29075).
