She was predeceased by: her parents, Lemuel Bookman, Sr. and Janet Lindsay Bookman; her husband Raymond Hair; and her siblings, Fred Bookman, Lemuel Bookman, Jr., Rev. Larry Bookman, Dorothy Mae Bookman Wheeler, Myrtle Bookman Holman and Bessie Mae Chandler-Williamson.
She is survived by: her sisters, Annette Bookman Abney of Prosperity and Betty Joe Bookman Wilson of Prosperity; her sister-in-law Reverend Tina Bookman of Newberry; and also James Edward Bookman (Ada) of Newberry. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 2nd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Wilson Funeral Home (64 Boundary St, Newberry, SC 29108). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, August 3rd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Mt. Moriah A. M. E. Church (1628 Ira Kinard Rd, Prosperity, SC 29127). A burial will be held on Sunday, August 3rd 2025 at the Mt. Moriah A. M. E Church (1628 Ira Kinard Rd, Prosperity, SC 29127).
