She is survived by: her son Thomas Lee Kitchens; her granddaughter Eleanor Kitchens; and her sister Kay Wicker. She is also survived by thirteen nieces and nephews and 15 great-nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that memorial contributions be made to the St. Philip's Lutheran Church Cemetery fund.
