He was predeceased by: his parents, Forrest Walter Dickert and Ruth Senn Dickert; his sisters, Joanne Dickert Fuller (PK) and Evelyn Dickert Davis (Heyward); his wife Nancy Shealy Dickert; and his grandson Colt Dickert.

He is survived by: his children, Dawn James (Danny), Dean Dickert (Donna) and Dale Dickert; his grandchildren, Dan James (Paula), Deena Long (Josh), Deanne Piester (Jonas), Reid Dickert (Ashley), Cody Dickert (Sam) and Beatrice Sarinana (Luis); and his great grandchildren, Lawson James, Lily Lewis, Cooper Lewis, Maddock James, Lena Dickert, Gunner Piester, Savannah Piester, River Dickert, Lincoln Dickert, Owen Dickert, Jackson Dickert, Alexa Sarinana and Eva Sarinana.
