He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence Clifton and Christine Key Owen; his brother Lawrence Gerald "Jerry" Owen; and the mother of his children Sylvia Thomas Owen. He is survived by: his children, Eliza Beach (Andy) of Ladson, Jason Owen and Rebecca Owen of Newberry; his grandchildren, Jazmine Cousino (Stephen) and Griffin Owen; and his brother Norman Owen (Linda) of Hattiesburg, Mississippi..
Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 1st 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Whitaker Funeral Home – Newberry (1704 College St, Newberry, SC 29108). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, June 1st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
