It is with sadness that the passing of Roger Trammell of Newberry, South Carolina is shared. Roger, born on January 30, 1945, passed away on September 21, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, William Mack and Mary Alice Baker Trammell; his sister Janice; his brother-in-law Roger Smith; and his aunt Loree "Jo" Lunsford.
He is survived by: his wife Vonnie Knight Trammell; his sons, Eddie Trammell (Tammy) and Russell Trammell (Veronique); his brother Charles Dean Trammell; and his grandchildren, Rocky Dale Trammell, Darren, Jessica, Neil and Hunter. He is also survived by nine great-grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; and two step-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 24th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the McSwain-Evans Funeral Home Chapel (1724 Main St, Newberry, SC 29108). A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 24th 2026 at 4:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, September 24th 2026 at the Newberry Memorial Gardens (15127 C R Koon Hwy, Newberry, SC 29108).
