We announce the death of Velma D. Gifford (Newberry, South Carolina), born in Weiner, Arkansas, who passed away on July 10, 2026, at the age of 91. Velma will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her husband Leland Gifford; her parents, Robert Charles and Jane McKnight Davidson; and her siblings, Charles Davidson (Janice), Jim Davidson and Mary Jane Johnson (Bob).
She is survived by: her children, Darlene McLeod (Eddie) and Carl Gifford (Theresa Switzer); her grandchildren, Elizabeth and Bobby; and her sister-in-law Susan Davidson. She is also survived by nieces and nephews, and people adopted by.
