It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Betty Willoughby of Nichols, South Carolina, born in Marion, South Carolina, who passed away on March 3, 2024, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Wade Ernest Smith and Marie Atkinson Smith; her husband Jimmy Livingston Willoughby; and her siblings, Ernest, Herman Smith and Mary Alice Cox.

She is survived by : her son Dale Willoughby (Sherry) of Nichols; her grandchildren, Dr. Channing Willoughby (Courtney) of Greer and Candace Shelley (Sidney) of Nichols; her great grandchildren, Mary Hannah, Elizabeth, Channing Dale Willoughby II of Greer, Kennedy and Karmen Shelley of Nichols; her brother Marvin Smith of Mullins; her sisters-in-law, Sally Lou Willoughby of Nichols, Judy Martin of Charleston and Clara Smith of Mullins; and her nieces, Tammy Sarvis and Polly Elliott. She is also survived by numerous other nieces and nephews.
