Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Elise Caughman of Nichols, South Carolina, who passed away at the age of 96, on June 10, 2025. Though her name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint Elise leaves upon the hearts of her loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of her spirit and the richness of her legacy.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Halum French Hammond and Alma Anderson Hammond; her husband Charlie Caughman; her brother Anderson Hammond; and her nephew Robin Dean Hammond.
She is survived by: her nephew Gene Anderson Hammond (Phyllis); her great-niece Tori Lynne Hammond; and her great-nephews, Jamie Hammond and William Dean Hammond.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, June 14th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Spring Branch Baptist Church Cemetery (6710 Church Loop, Nichols, SC 29581).
