He was predeceased by: his parents, William G. Kinney, Sr. and Kathleen Richardson Kinney; and his sisters, Florence Kinney and Elizabeth Kinney. He is survived by: his wife Gloria Cook Kinney; his children, Joseph William "Joey" Kinney (Amalia) of Schertz, Texas, Brandy Catherine Horne (Courtney) of Lake View and Maria Tiller Nobles of Nichols; his grandchildren, Michaela Catherine Bopst (Billy) of Ash, Jonah Asher Hufford, Noah Eli Hufford of Nichols, Hannah Alexia Joy Kinney of Texas, Emily Victoria Kinney of Texas and David William Kinney of Texas; his brother Richard W. Kinney of Dillon; and his sisters-in-law, Sherry Griffis (Steve), Georgia, Zandra Cook (Brent), Virginia Garris, Faye Tucker and Mullins of South Carolina. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, December 5th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Meares Funeral Home, Inc. (6227 US-76, Mullins, SC 29574). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 6th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Catholic Church of the Resurrection (204 Heritage Rd, Loris, SC 29565).
