He is survived by: his wife Katherine Wicker Hinton; his daughters, Christina Margaret Hinton and Stephanie Hinton Snell (Mills); his grandchildren, Brucie, Birch and Sutton Snell; his sisters, Ginger Mathews (Toney), Elaine Shinn (Mike) and Julie Cochrane (Mike); John Wicker (Jeanie), Tom Wicker (Beth) and Jeff Wicker (Sarah). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family invites memorial contributions in Charlie's memory to support research into Parkinson's disease and Type 1 diabetes through the John Paul II Medical Research Institute or the University of Notre Dame Center for Stem Cells and Regenerative Medicine.
