He was predeceased by: his parents, Miles Charles and Mary Charles; and his wife Jo Wanda Charles. He is survived by: his children, Richard Charles (Ashley) of North Augusta and Debrah Buchanan (John) of Norway; his grandchildren, Kennedy Charles, Truman Charles and Reagan Charles; and his sister Pauline Mitchum.
