It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Henry Abney Jr. of North Augusta, South Carolina, born in Aiken, South Carolina, who passed away on February 7, 2026, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. Though John Henry may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the echoes of his kindness, the warmth of his embrace, and the light of his enduring love.
He is survived by: his son John H. "Bo" Abney, Jr. (Angela); and his siblings, Mary Wilson, Eva Martin, Albert Abney and Larry Abney. He is also survived by six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a host of other relatives and friends.
