He was predeceased by: his wife Betty Kight Davis; his siblings, Jervis C. Davis, Lonnie Davis, Jimmy Davis and Jeannette Price; his grandson Ted James "T. J." Davis; and his parents, Henry Wallace and Myrtice Ingram Davis.
He is survived by: his children, Jamie Stripling (late Eric) of Augusta, GA, Johnny Davis (Vivian) of Grovetown, GA, Tommy Davis (Kathy) of Clarks Hill, SC, Tammy Davis Glass (Marlon) of Montevallo, AL and Wendy Davis Hartshaw (Robert) of North Augusta, SC; and his sister Nora Smith of North Carolina.
