We are sad to announce that, on December 21, 2025, at the age of 73, Judy Fortson Howell of North Augusta, South Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid Judy farewell, let us not mourn the absence of her physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of her spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Judy is not truly gone, but merely transformed, her energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles E. Fortson and Doris Floyd Fortson. She is survived by: her husband Larry Howell of North Augusta, SC; her children, Jason E. Howell (Rhonda) of North Augusta, SC and Jennifer Howell Walker (Duke) of Coeur d'Alene, Idaho; her sister Peggy Fortson (John Carrick) of Baldwin, GA; and her grandchildren, Andrea Howell, Riley Howell, Alyssa Walker and Emily Walker.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to St. Jude's Children Hospital or to a charity of one's choice.
