We are sad to announce that on August 12, 2022, at the age of 75, Michael LeRoy Atkins of North Augusta, South Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert "Bob" Atkins and Elizabeth "Betty" Atkins (Seely); and his sisters, Judy and Peggy. He is survived by: his wife Connie Carrigan; his friend Mike Gillespie; his children, Erin Esser of North Augusta, SC and Eric Atkins (Carissa) of Chamblee, GA; the mother of his children Connie Carrigan Atkins Manderscheid of Canton, GA; his grandchildren, Ireland, Christian, Phinehas Esser, Graham and Sloane Atkins; and his siblings, Roberta Atkins of Green Valley, AZ, Linda Peterson of Northville, SD, Susan Atkins (Kevin LaGraff) of Rotonda West, FL, Annette Atkins of Minneapolis, MN, Thomas Atkins (Leila) of Sioux Falls, Mary Atkins Boe (Bob Boe) of Sioux Falls, Betsy Cartwright (Tim) of Crystal, MN, Teresa Davidson (Matt) of Des Moines, IA and Steve Atkins of New Zealand. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
