He was loved and cherished by many people including: his siblings, Nancy Johnson, Willie Toomer Jr. (Lisa), Virginia Palmer (Samuel), Minnie Armstrong, Reginald Toomer Sr. (Virginia), Arleen Toomer and Karen Hogan; and his close friend Darlene Jamison.

A celebration of life was held on Friday, May 23rd 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Suburban Funeral Home (2336 Meeting Street Rd, North Charleston, SC 29405).
