She was predeceased by : her parents, Joseph Hunter and Eliza Houston Bradley. She is survived by : her children, Curtis Geathers and Nina Geathers; her grandchildren, De'Andre Geathers, Curtis Geathers, Jr., Cameron Geathers, Riana Geathers and Jaden Geathers; and her siblings, Brenda Bennett (Henry), Martha Williams, Joseph Hunter and Hercules Hunter (Janine).
