He was predeceased by: his parents, Sadie and Charlie; his siblings, Richard Eugene Stokes, Earl King, Lynn Derrick King, Jackqulyn Thompson, Rosa Lee Coleman and Ethel King; his wife Bonnie J. Stokes; and the mother of his children Roberta Ann Plotzke.
He is survived by: his children, Chaves R. Stokes, Michelle J. Stokes, Amy V. Stokes-Spearman (Walter), Melissa L. Stokes, Charletta D. Stokes (Nikki) and Michael E. Kucera; his grandchildren, Jakub, Daniel, Monica, Tianna, Joshua-Allen, Walter Jr., Alexus, Elizabeth, Aaliyah and Keegan; and his siblings, Wilhelmina, Emma Jean and Joseph.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 26th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Hansen-Gravitt Funeral Home (424 Prospect St, Beloit, WI 53511). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 26th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
