With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Doris Hysmith Conner (North Charleston, South Carolina), born in Charleston, South Carolina, who passed away on October 9, 2023 at the age of 95. She was predeceased by: her parents, Wilhelmina Hysmith and Clarence Hysmith; her husband William "Wick" H. Conner; her former husband Roy "Rudolph" R. Dickens; her grandson Jonathan Waters; her son-in-law Jesse "Buster" J. Dukes; and her brother-in-law Dewey B. Lipscomb.
She is survived by: her daughters, Carol Elizabeth (Bob) of North Charleston, SC and Cynthia Waters (Jack) of Spartanburg, SC; her stepdaughters, Ann Davis (Roy) of Summerville, SC and Debora Brooks (Randy) of Lake Murray, SC; her granddaughter Jennifer Waters of Spartanburg, SC; her great grandchildren, Abby Mason Mears of Kissimmee, FL and Chloe Smith of Spartanburg, SC; her sister Ruth H. Lipscomb of Summerville, SC; her niece Lynda Scarborough of Summerville, SC.; and her caregivers, Sissy and Sabrina.
