She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Louis Peagler and Georgan Peagler; her daughter Shirley Neumann (Dave); her grandchildren, Jamie Lynn, Scott, Courtney Neumann, Carl Parnell III (Michele), Matthew Parnell (Sheila) and Traci High Jamie Coleson (Billy); her daughter-in-law Kathy Parnell; her children, Carl Parnell, Jr. and Linda Parnell; and her close friend Don Emerson. She was also cherished by many great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to Aldersgate United Methodist Church, 1444 Remount Road, North Charleston.
