He was predeceased by: his mother Thelma Drayton; and his siblings, Herbert, Mario Drayton and Drucilla Drayton. He is survived by: his children, Arianne Seabrook (Derrick), Major Bakari Prioleau (Courtney) and Cassandra Bartolf (Matthew); his sister Jocelyn Edmonds; and his former wife Torreah "Cookie" Washington. He is also survived by cousins, nieces, and nephews.

A private memorial tribute will be held later this year. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Hal's memory to Kids On Point, an organization that reflects his love of community and commitment to helping young people thrive.
