He was predeceased by: his parents, Elias Joseph Chustz and Louise Iona Callahan Chustz; his stepson Owen Poole; his grandparents, Joseph Verjus Chustz, Louise Marie Josephine LeCoq, James G and Martha Brown Callahan; and his siblings, Lloyd J Chustz, Bernice Barras, Harold Chustz, Dempsey Chustz and Denzel Chustz.
He is survived by: his wife Sandra Owens Chustz of North Charleston; his son Gerald (Brenda Chustz); his grandsons, Chris and Matt; his children, Pam (Glenn Pollard) and Brian Chustz; and his grandsons, Tucker and Brad (Wendell Poole). He is also survived by 10 great grandchildren.
