He was predeceased by: his parents, Emiliano Rivera and Faustina Suarez; his wife Amalia Rivera; his children, Ralph Rivera and Nilda Rivera; and his sister Celia.
He is survived by: his children, George Rivera of Ladson, SC, Felix Alberto Rivera of Brooksville, FL, Jesse Rivera, Jr. of Summerville, SC, Amy Compton (Dale) of Little Rock, AR and Emily Rivera Sharpe; and his siblings, Angel M. Rivera, William Rivera, Hiram Rivera, Luis F. Rivera, Virginia Rivera and Ada Colon. He is also survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
