It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joaquin Mesa Santos Sr. of North Charleston, South Carolina, who passed away on May 19, 2022, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Froilan Santos and Maria Santos; and his former wife Elinor B. Santos. He is survived by: his wife Hiroko Santos (Hoki); his children, Joaquin Santos, Jr. (Patsy), Cheryl Blackwell (Mickey), Renae Banfield (Jeff), Debi McDonald (Tom) and Velma Santos (Paul); his stepchildren, Steven Gallo (Susan) and Jennifer Boaman (Keith); his son Larry Anderson, Sr.; and his siblings, Juan Santos and Maria Salas (John). He is also survived by his family and his friends.
