It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Megan Kristine Doak (North Charleston , South Carolina), born in Tacoma, Washington, who passed away on December 12th 2018, at the age of 19, due to a seizure.
Leaving to mourn are her parents, Jonathan and Stacey Doak
her sister, Madisen.

Megan moved to Charleston in 2010.
She attended Fort Dorchester High School until her sophomore year, and was Homeschooled her Junior and senior year through Summervill homeschool enriching education program. She graduated this past May.
Megan was diagnosed with Epilepsy at the young age of 10. She had Myoclonic, Gran Mal and at the age of 16 diagnosed with Jeavons. (Seizure of the eyelid) rendering her inability to drive.
Despite what medical issues she had, she cared deeply about her family and friends and even people she didn’t know.
Megan has volunteered at Summerville Medical and Seacoast Church in Summerville. The last few years Megan was working for Starbucks, where she was a barista.
Megan met Thomas Schafhausen, Jr. in December of 2017 a Navel Nuclear school student. Megan and Thomas got engaged this past July. He truly was the love of her life. Megan will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Family and friends can send support any Foundation and/or light a candle as a loving gesture for their loved one. Megan loved helping and being a friend to any one in need.
