She was predeceased by: her parents, John Kelly Shirley and Nancy Elizabeth Messick; her husband Joseph R. Jay (Bobby); and her siblings, Mary Perry, Johnny Shirley and Brenda Odom.
She is survived by: her sons, Robert A. Jay of North Charleston and John M. Jay (Deborah) of North, SC; her grandchildren, John D. Jay (Heather) of North, SC and Kristen M. Jay of Leesville, SC; and her great grandchildren, Audrey N. Jay and John L. Jay of North, SC. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
