We are sad to announce that, on April 27, 2021, at the age of 97, Ruth Canady Drake (North Charleston, South Carolina) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Daniel Canady and Cora Mae Drew; her husband Raleigh D. Drake; her sons, James Drake and Billy Drake; and her siblings, Henry Canady, Margie Brown, Lorene Spence Wilson and Betty Hopkins.

She is survived by: her grandchildren, Leslie Clark (Davis) of Goose Creek, SC, Kenneth Drake of North Charleston, SC and Robert Donald Drake of North Charleston, SC; and her great grandchildren, Avery Drake, Noah Drake, Isabella Drake, Davis Clark Jr. and William Drake Clark.

The family is accepting floral tributes, or memorials may be made in Ruth Drake's honor to Cooper River Baptist Church, North Charleston, SC or to Roper Hospice, Charleston, SC.
