She was predeceased by: her father Leo James Jones; her husband Kenneth L. Mims, Sr.; her parent Uldene Jones Short (Weatherford); and her brother Hubert Talmadge Jones. She is survived by: her children, Kenneth L. Mims, Jr. (Brandi McCool) and Elizabeth Wood (Robert); and her grandchildren, Harold, Christopher, Nicholas (Jamie Roberts), Kenneth, Andrew and Meagan.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, an organization close to her heart.
