With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Shirley Jean Bishop Wheeler of North Charleston, South Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on August 25, 2025. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Gay Bishop and Helen Bishop; her husband Robert L. Wheeler; her son Michael P. Wheeler; and her brother Ray Bishop.
She is survived by: her daughter Denise D. Wheeler of North Charleston; her daughter-in-law Christine Wheeler of Mt. Pleasant; her grandchildren, Michael P. Wheeler II (Michelle) of Washington, D. C. and Parker Bellamy (David); her great grandchild Tanner Bellamy of Mt. Pleasant; and her siblings, Bertha Wagner, Marian Smith and Lee Bishop. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
