He was predeceased by: his parents, Clyde Thomas Brandon and Lena Owen Brandon. He is survived by: his wife Cornelia Driggers; his children, Rhett Brandon (Frances) of New York, Shauna B. Johnson (Ross) of Louisville and Kevin D. Brandon (Carla) of St. Simons Island; and his stepdaughter Stacie R. Thigpen (Chris) of Manning. He is also survived by ten grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
