Jan leaves behind cherished memories for friends, family, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. Jan’s life was marked by connections and experiences that touched those around him. Though he is no longer with us, the moments shared, the laughter, and the support he offered will continue to resonate. All who knew Jan will carry forward his memory in their hearts.
He is survived by: his siblings, Jacquit Ann Otty and Thomas "Tommy" Barnes; and his nieces and nephews, Allison Rose Otty, Lese Valentin, Loren Ann Barnes, Tara Katnine Barnes, Lindsay Barnes, Joseph Dean Otty and Ken "Gilo" Valentin.
In keeping with Jan's wishes, memorial contributions may be made to Trinity United Methodist Church in support of the choir or scholarship fund, or to an organization of the donor's choice in his memory.
