She was predeceased by: her parents, Harry Stanley Greene and Nancy McNair Greene; her sisters, Jane Anne Clements and Betsy Diffee; her sister-in-law Margaret Ruth Bassett; and her son George Louis Jones III.
She is survived by: her siblings, Gloria McFee and Stan Greene; her daughters, Nancy Leigh Armstrong and Kristen Jones Parker; her grandchildren, Margaret Alexis "Lexi" Jones, Elizabeth McNair "Liza" Jones, Lillian Marie "Lily" Jones of Richard James, Joseph "Joey" Greene Armstrong, Lindsay Madison Parker, Aidan Wilson Parker and Noah Grayson Parker; and her former husband George Louis "Lou" Jones, Jr..
In her spare time, Julie volunteered with the charity organization "Kids on the Block," where she used life-size puppets to educate children about disabilities.
