He was predeceased by: his daughter Kathryn. He is survived by: his wife Jean Lanz; his son Philip; his daughter-in-law Grace; his sisters, Janet and Barbara; and his brothers-in-law, Joe and Rick (Ann). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, and grand nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, Phil requested donations be made to either The Mayo Clinic, Jacksonville, Florida, for cancer research or St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, for children fighting cancer.
