He was predeceased by: his parents, David Clyde Simpson and Sarah Davis Simpson; and his brother Donnie Simpson. He is survived by: his wife Robin Williams Simpson; his daughter Julie Simpson Salvi (Emilio Salvi) of Chicago; his grandchildren, Cara Salvi, Bella Salvi and Rocco Salvi; his brother Ted Simpson; his sister-in-law Tish of Huntersville; his sister Sarah Gibson (Danny) of Monroe; and his pet Maggie. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, October 15th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Mt. Harmony Baptist Church Cemetery (2817 Mt Harmony Church Rd, Matthews, NC 28105). A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, October 29th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Ocean Drive Presbyterian Church (410 6th Ave S, North Myrtle Beach, SC 29582).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the charity of your choice or to Ocean Drive Presbyterian Church music department.
