With heavy hearts, we announce the death of William L. Gentry of North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, born in Elkin, North Carolina, who passed away on December 1, 2025 at the age of 74. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

For William is not truly gone, but merely transformed, his energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Franklin and Lillian Gentry (Shores). He is survived by: his wife Kathy Gentry (Lindsey); his daughters, Jennifer (Gentry) and Gill (Gregory); his grandson Evan Gill; and his siblings, Rick Gentry (Cricket) of Pinehurst, NC, Randy Gentry of Reidsville, NC and Sherry Beeson (Danny) of Oak Ridge, NC..
