He was predeceased by: his parents, Hugh Garland "Preacher" Hoffman and Annie Lucille Crim Hoffman; and his brothers, Hugh Garland Hoffman, Jr., Paxton A. Hoffman, Robert R. Hoffman and McGee "Buck" Hoffman.

He is survived by: his wife Jewel Tager Hoffman; his children, Terry Hugh Hoffman (Karen), Oneal Randall Hoffman, Sr. (Cathy) and Sonya Renee Hoffman; his sister Amelia Hoffman Hooks; his grandchildren, Candace Hoffman Rogers (Christopher), Kathleen Soncho (Drew), Oneal Randall Hoffman (Kelsey) and Hugh Hoffman (Maharai); and his sister-in-law Ruby Jourdain. He is also survived by five great-grandchildren.

A memorial service was held on Saturday, May 24th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses (57 Caw Caw Hwy, St Matthews, SC 29135).
