With sadness, we share the passing of John Elliott Busby of Okatie, South Carolina. John, born on June 20, 1953, passed away on July 12, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his daughter Kylie Busby; his parents, Vernon B. Busby and Alma Harper Busby; his brother Benny Busby; and his mother-in-law Woods Cooler.
He is survived by: his wife Emma Jo Cooler Busby; his stepdaughters, Teresa Dugger (Cindy), Jamie Solesbee (Donnie) and JoAnna Waldhour; his granddaughter Tina Kirkhart (Ricky); his stepgranddaughters, Katie Marschausen (Scott) and Autumn Solesbee; his great grandchildren, Rhett Fisk and Trevor Fisk; his stepgreat-granddaughter Makenzie Marschausen; and his siblings, Sandy Werts (late Michael), Kathy Brichacek (late Joe) and Bobby Jack Busby (Lisa). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
