He was predeceased by : his former life partner Hollace Hurd Davidson; his parents, John Davidson and Virginia Davidson; and his brother John Davidson, Jr.. He is survived by : his wife Charlsie Cantey; his children, W. Douglas Jr., Hollace (Lacey), John and Elizabeth; his stepson JB Cantey; and his grandchildren, William Douglas III (Will), Dylan Davidson, Teague, Benjamin and Rory Cantey.
In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes charitable donations to the USNA Center of Academic Excellence or to the Georgetown Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center.
